It’s time to make the critical shift from leading the business by yourself to leading an organization of people. At P2Excellence, we help you navigate the uncharted territories of organizational growth with clarity and confidence.
We’ve been devoting “Tuesdays” over the past few months to help give the topic of “disruption” some focus and some context. While the term itself is becoming something of a cliché, the in convertible truth is that companies are embracing (and must embrace) disruption both to reinvent their business in the face of changing times, and to remain competitive. Innovation and technology are helping companies with the business transformation they need to keep up with the pace of disruption, and by providing new strategies and operating models that will help continue to propel them forward.
So, what does that mean for you personally, for your work teams, for your business? What aspects of your business (your work) are focused on creating new markets and new products, and winning over more customers? And how are you enabling the people around you to embrace and champion that spirit of creativity and innovation needed/required to channel disruption into positive outcomes and opportunities? Ultimately, innovative ideas can spring forth from anywhere and anyone in the organization. How successfully are you nurturing that spirit of innovation among your team to stay in the game?
No one is immune from the force of changes.
Let me repeat that – no one is immune.
We must intentionally ask ourselves every day – “Where is the market/where is the world/where is my family/where am I changing?” and, “How can I contribute to ensure growth and prosperity within that change?”
As business leaders, we must look at the changing face of our workforce and our workplaces. We must know our clients well and the disruptions they face.
- How will we, when faced with constant change, learn to make it our friend?
- How will we better connect?
- How will we coach and support those around us?
- And how will we personally thrive – seeking the opportunities that lie behind the challenges of disruption?
Risk-taking goes hand in hand with disruption and innovation. Everyone, who has a stake in a company, must be ready and willing to try different strategies and operating models to transform their business. Those who do will come out ahead.
Please let me know how you’re doing and handling business disruption that may be affecting you.
