It’s time to make the critical shift from leading the business by yourself to leading an organization of people. At P2Excellence, we help you navigate the uncharted territories of organizational growth with clarity and confidence.
Personally … I want to thank Anne Warren for helping me co-write our article on Remote Working. I know there are many of you who have been remote working and remote leading for years. You must wonder what the fuss is all about. But for a lot of us, it’s been disorienting. We geared up for the short term, and not it’s either the long term or at least the middle term. We aren’t sure. I’ll remind you again, if you need a talking partner, or some real help, reach out!
And on another topic, there are several great quotes from the movie Hope Floats. This month I am liking the quote by Gena Rowlands:
“You think behind every chance there’s another chance. That’s the worst kind of extravagance!”
I like second chances, but maybe now its time to seize the chance in front of us.
This is the chance to make the most of 2020. Yes, it’s awful. Yes, we are over it. Yes, some people have experienced terrible tragedy. But what about the rest of us? What chances of a life time are you paying attention to this year? Or ignoring?
You know I want you to be safe. You know I want you to take care of yourself and to be kind to your neighbor. But I also want you to be curious, to be brave, to experiment, to decide what matters, to “go forth and conquer”! And then, come on back home and tell us about the adventure!
Please remember you matter to me! So being healthy remains the expression of the day and, let’s be honest, it’s the expression of the year! As if COVID 19, a worldwide recession, and civil unrest wasn’t putting enough stress on our personal, family, community and global systems, we have an election coming up! It’s enough to drive a person to distraction. Being healthy isn’t just about physical health, it’s about emotional and relational health. Please take care of yourself and those you love! “We all need a little help from our friends!” (smile here!)
